For me, family is both bedrock and anchor. I am fortunate beyond belief to have a fantastic family, as you can see below.
The North Star in my firmament is my wife Jenny Quinn, colleague, partner, and best friend as well as wife. Jenny is a mathematician with a national reputation, smart, beautiful, and
the most honorable person I have ever met. Ever. We were married in 1998, which was truly the luckiest day of my life. We are blessed with two sons.
Anson Robert Quinn Martin (born in 2000) is showing off his seventh birthday. He is named for Robert Anson Heinlein, the late science fiction author, as anyone who knows me might guess. He is sensitive and funny and growing up so very fast. He loves dinosaurs, the Power Rangers, and Pokemon (well, one out of three isn't bad!). Anson is my sensitive poet son, perhaps.
Zachary Vincent Quinn Martin (born in 2003) is showing off his fourth birthday. After all, he and his brother share a birthday three years and three days apart. I originally wanted to name him "Zevon," after the one and only Warren Zevon, but Jenny quite wisely put her foot down---but did want a "Z" name. Zack is rough and tumble (yet loves to cuddle), fearless, and is up for any challenge. He is fascinated by anything that his beloved brother likes. Zackie is my circus acrobat son, almost certainly.
